Course Description:
This webinar provides an introduction to Assessment and Handling in Treatment using a current NDT approach. Assessment of Motor skills in children and execution of treatment plans to improve participation will be covered via lecture, video demos and LAB practice. This is a great course for the pediatric therapist who treats children with motor impairments and wants to apply handling techniques to their treatments. You will need an 18-24 inch jointed doll or a colleague for practice during lab practice sessions. This is a great course to introduce problem solving and NDT to address motor skill facilitation in children.
Course Objectives
The participant will:
1) Have a basic understanding of the practice of NDT assessment and treatment planning.
2) Understand the basics of task analysis and how to apply to treatment plans.
3) Understand how to write functional goals for treatment.
4) Apply treatment techniques through handling to facilitate movement and motor function.
5) Practice handling with video demos and practice sessions.
